2023-03-30 16:52:14 +0000 UTC View PostOh Hi there 🙃 I've always installed aerial yoga straps in every home I've lived for this very purpose! We already known my love and passion for inverting but these straps make it easy to decompress the spine with a free hang. Decompression of the spine is super important because constantly we are right side with bones of our spine stacked on one another. Fusion of spinal disks is a very common affliction and this is the recipe to combat that. With a free hang, you allow gravity to do the work and have the ability to breathe space in between each vertebrae.

It is highly beneficial in removing stagnation deriving from pain, promoting the free flow of qi and fluids as well as induces a warming function. Cupping session last approximately 10-20 minutes dependent upon the client and the bodies' reaction and tolerance. Once the cups are removed, there is a glorious feeling of flushing and release through the afflicted area. Do you want to get cupped by Kate? 😏

If you're hips tend to get tight like mine whether from excessive use in fitness or long periods of sitting, foam rolling aids in eliminating tension and, to homage the term, rolling out the muscles and tendons of the entire pelvic cavity. Best practice is to go long and slowwwwwww. In areas were there is extra tightness or tension, take a moment to pause and hold. Allow gravity to do the work and sink in to the arch of the foam roller. I promise, with pain comes progress, use your breath as a tool and breath. So many benefits from foam rolling. Be sure to check out my OFTV on foam rolling.. coming soon 🕊

I am a huge advocate of composting because it decreases our output of trash, creates healthy soil and promotes sustainable living. Composting is super easy to do, all you need is an airtight container for your countertop and a 10g for outdoor. If you live in a city like I do, a composting service to pick up and recycle back into healthy soil. Another option is to mix the compost and soil yourself, but this is slightly more arduous and space restrictive. Composting is one of the fundamental ways we can contribute on a daily basis towards saving our environment, take the time and look at how you can contribute 🌍

If you feel that you are inflexible, there is no better time than the PRESENT to start. Get into your body and listen to your body. Where you feel places of tension, pause... use your breath as a tool and breathe space into that area. Long holds (3-5 mins) are best as it allows the depth of the stretch to target your tendons and fascia, where flexibility begins 🕊

2023-03-01 17:15:29 +0000 UTC View PostDo you dream of being able to do the splits? 🤔 I learned this method in my years of ballet, utilizing an inversion and wall to get correct pelvic alignment. Contrary to attempting on the floor, this method removes gravity and is more passive for your body if you’re not quite there yet. The main drivers are the stability of the standing leg and pressure of hands to floor, slowing working the split of the legs. Eventually your body will become flush with the wall.
