Today I want to encourage you to have a date with your desires…
Desire is a powerful word. It’s an intense, fluid and exciting word. It’s not just a word— it’s a feeling, a sense of longing for something, someone, even a fantasy. In the past we have dropped our desires and left and by the wayside, but today that changes. The most important thing for you to know now is that you are allowed to have desires, you are allowed to have cravings and you are allowed to experience those desires and cravings. When you have a desire for something, it’s best to check it’s a healthy desire, though. So, first of all, ask yourself why you want it. If it’s because it’s going to make you happy or a better person, that’s cool the truth is that no thing or situation can make you any more divine than you already are, but you’re allowed to enjoy this world and the things that are in it. Just breathe with that for a moment you’re allowed to have desires. When you decide to honor your desires, you give yourself permission to dance with the universe and receive support for your growth and happiness.
* What do you want in life?
* How will it feel when those desires are met?
* What can you do to create that feeling now?
* How can you express that emotion?
* Do it!
Wholesome Wednesday Idea:
OFFER YOUR LOVE TO GENERATE MORE LOVE IN THE WORLD
When you decide to offer love to another person it’s not about the immediate reciprocity, the point is that by offering your love your generating more love in the world, as well as in your own life. Everyone benefits! In my experience if you offer loving behavior towards another you’re more likely to receive that love back. However even if the love that you offer is not reciprocated, you have proven to yourself that you possess so much love inside of you that you are able to offer it freely. Love offered is an incredible gift and is never wasted, a surplus of love in the world can only be beneficial, so offer love. Generate love. Be loving. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

When we really desire something we can be domineering. We are strong we insist and push. Sometimes being assertive is what the situation calls for. Other times, it doesn’t work at all. Sometimes, to get what we want we need to yield, to soften so that we can begin to navigate what the world is offering to us. Think of how water erodes away the surface of the sharp rocks and edges of glass, converting their rough rugged edges to sculpted smooth objects. Today when pushing doesn’t work, try to take a step back mentally and fluidly receive what you are experiencing. Witness how your softness can also be a source of strength.

Movement medicine is just that—moving in a way that feels good to you and your body! Explore what that feels like for you, it doesn’t need to fit into a box, all that matters is that you are moving and that it feels good to you! Try being active and exploring a different way to engage your body for about 10 min or so today, and let me know how you feel!

One of the ways in which you can enrich your life is by developing daily rituals. When we participate in rituals that help us create meaning we can make our lives fuller and more rewarding. These rituals can be as simple as saying a morning prayer, or setting an intention at the beginning of the day, or lighting a candle. For me it’s been waking up and heading to the beach to watch the sunrise, as well as keeping a gratitude journal. When we engage in these simple daily rituals we are directing our attention more fully to what is meaningful. Today, I challenge you to create, and participate in a personal ritual that celebrates some thing that you value in your life. Feel free to share with me in the DMs! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Learning to listen...
I know I’m not alone in saying that listening can be one of the most difficult skills to master. Often times we find ourselves so eager to share our experiences or express ourselves and to be understood, we often neglect the most important part of the conversation which is listening. When we choose not to listen we are trapped in our own limited ways of thinking and points of view. When you are quiet long enough you can recognize that there is a whole world of ideas out there in which we have access to. Listening allows us to expand our imaginations, minds, and possibilities! Listening is also a major key to learning and growing. Try to speak less today. Take time to absorb and reflect on what is being said to you. 🤍
