Another GM post. Didnāt realize itās Monday! I thought it was Tuesday. Looks like I get an entire extra day in my week! Hereās a little update. The shop that specializes in Delicas didnāt get the parts they ordered yet, and itās a long holiday weekend. I donāt know why, but this has been the case every time Iāve had my van worked on. Call it luck? I hope not. The starter is being funny again, and the last shop said the starter was fine. So fingers crossed itās an easy fix. I will say, I thought van life was going to be easier, but it turns out a very simple way of living can actually not be so simple. Itās like youāre a prisoner wherever you get stuck! Iām still loving the good moments, I just donāt feel settled in this life yet, and havenāt been able to explore and create in the ways Iād hoped. So Iām sorry I havenāt been posting lots of beautiful images. Thatās what I want to focus more on. With everything this summer has thrown at me, Iām still trying to stay positive. Going to take loki, my pup in this week and get her checked out. I feel like sheās been slowing down and overheating a lot more than normal the last few weeks. Ready to just be out cruising in Stella (my van) and enjoying this beautiful Earth with my pup, and sharing it with you! Send me your good energy! Letās get this adventure smooth sailing. Iāll try another naked session in the morning when the lighting is better. I took a long break from trying because my shoulder was injured from climbing and trying to handstand, but practicing with the wall has helped a lot! Seems to just be the alternator and maybe rotors, but we shall see. Everyone in this area was booked out through august, so Iām glad to have found someone to look at it this Thursday. But that still means we have to wait on parts and fixing. Please send me all your good energy! Iām lucky to be at a campground with power, but itās in a very small town with hardly anything here. My service has also been having problems and I tried to sort it with Verizon, and Iāll leave that at, Iām not very happy with them! I have to purchase 2gb of data at a time for $5 (so feel free to tip!). Uploading here seems to take forever. Iām trying my best to stay positive, but itās been rough. I keep having this feeling that I need to get somewhere. Itās the most uncomfortable feeling. I feel like Iāve been driving and driving, and not enjoying enough. Finally made the call the yesterday to cancel Alaska this summer. With all the wildfires in BC, plus all the driving Iāve already done/the time crunch before the cold comes, I donāt feel like Iād really get to enjoy it. I feel so much lighter with this decision. Iād love to try again next year for the entire summer if thatās how it plays out. I have no where to be but out in the world exploring and creating! What a relief to know I can stay where I want for however long I want. Iām slow and steady falling in love with Canada! Plan on staying here for a while as long as the smoke doesnāt get too crazy.
