Oh! Look what came in the mail today! If you've seen my post earlier last week...you know that I was waiting for my first handheld for emulation! The RG35XX by Anbernic. So far...I'm very impressed. It came directly in this nice case (no plastic or cardboard box. Better for the environment!). It also came with a screen protector (not sure if I will apply it or not). I've played some GBA games so far...Donkey Kong Country 1 and Spyro. Gameplay was flawless. It is a comfortable handheld. And it fits in a small pocket! I have a feeling the battery life won't be that good (they say around 4 hours). But I never have time to play more than that anyways LOL! Screen is really good for the price. And yes, I know the OS is supposed to suck and changing it is recommended...but I'm debating now if I'll even do it. I think I'll wait and test it a full week first. I might be satisfied with what's on it. Although...maybe by playing with it more, I will see the small annoying things everyone talks about lol! Anyone has any recommendation of GB, GBC, GBA, NGPC or GG game? Game Gear, you perv...not girl girl LOL ;) To be continued...! Any GB, GBA

Really happy with how this one turned out as well. Never played Pikmin, but I know that in the Gamecube community, this game is a MUST. Somehow, I didn't even know it existed back then.... (maybe it wasn't as promoted in Canada? Or maybe it just got more popular a few years after its release? Which happens sometimes!). Have you ever played Pikmin? Do you recommend it?

Haven't done any marquees in a while, but playing that Mario game yesterday got me going again! Back to my GameCube marquees...and one of the best games released on that console! Have you ever played it? God, it was a blast and still holding up in 2023!!! I don't have time to go through it all again, but I feel like just playing a little...maybe an hour or two...for the memories! They have done a remake on the Switch, I think? Anyhow, really happy with how it turned out!

You know me...I always like posting the trailer of the game! (you should read my previous post if you haven't!) For a game released 12 years ago...it looked damn good. Almost as good as most Mario Switch games! Oh and while looking for the trailer, I ended up finding a review about it - almost sounds like I had a good feel of this game! IGN's Jack DeVries rated the game 6.5, stating "it could make a fun party game, but this is a pretty weak offering". They praised the graphics, calling the animations "well done", and said "everything is bright and smooth".

Based on the recommendation of a good friend, I've tried this game today. First time I was playing a Wii game EVER. Never own the console. I was super into N64 and Gamecube...but then switched to Playstation 2 & 4....until the Switch (and even there, I'm more Playstation than Nintendo). Now, it was an emulation, so it wasn't the exact experience of Wii (I played with an Xbox controller). It's 4 games: Dodgeball, Hockey, Volleyball and Basketball. I've only tried hockey and basketball. Basketball in the tournament edition was SO FREAKING EASY on game 1. A blind and deaf monkey could have won (I believe I won 54 to 3 LOL) I will have to try exhibition. It was fun. Controls are easy to understand. I sense a lot of NBA Jam in the gameplay. Hockey was fun. I still need to figure out how to do a one timer (if it's possible?). Again, it's a fun game...but there it's 4 games in 1, so what does it tell you? They aren't as developed as a Mario Golf, Mario Tennis or even Mario Strikers. I can see it as a fun party game (which was what the Wii wanted I believe?). But it's not a game I'll go back and play over and over again or spend several hours on it (maybe I would have back in my N64 days when. I could only have one game for 3-4 months). I still want to play the volleyball and dodgeball game out of curiosity (and play the basketball at expert level!). Thank you for your recommendation! I LOOOOOVE discovering games! ***HANDHELD EMULATION?*** As some of you know, I love emulation of old retro games on my arcade. However, I've been hoping for something "on the go". Something that I could be traveling with and playing old Gameboy games or GBA ones. I looked at Miyoo Mini for a while, but they are always sold out. RG35XX is only $50 and is in stock (released a few months ago!). I gotta try this one for such an affordable price. Reviews that came in are favorable so far. Yes, it can play PS1 games or N64....but it's not my goal. I'll try mostly games that were meant for handheld without a stick! Or SNES / NES games! I should have it in a few days and I'll report when I try it. I'll definitely try it as is (it comes with a system and games), but I plan to upgrade it with a different OS and a new SD card. I just don't like playing games on my phone. I need buttons and a D pad (no D jokes her haha)! and most handheld on the market are too big. I don't feel like getting an old game boy or GBA (too heavy, too expensive and too cumbersome to carry cartridges). So....it seems like the perfect option! I'll keep you posted!

They would have one or two screens and it was a device with only one game. Call it the ancestor of the Gameboy! The first and only original handheld device! Honestly had NO idea it existed (and back then the screen was black and white), but it's a pretty cool lightweight and fun device!
