If you saw my previous and wonder why there was no ending to Gauntlet, here's what I found about it:
Another unique element that was introduced with Gauntlet was the ability to stack the game with quarters. While most games in this era would have you insert a quarter to begin, and another after you die, Gauntlet was happy to take whatever you had right then and there. Initially, the people in marketing were skeptical that this would be something that people would be willing to do.
However, pretty early on they saw that this was something players would do enthusiastically. The ability to insert multiple quarters is also a big reason for the game cycling instead of having a conclusive end. They were afraid that players would finish the game while having dozens of quarters still in the machine, and they didn't want to deal with gaggles of furious Gauntlet fans.
As some of you know, I'll officially start playing Gauntlet (the new remake of 2014 - not the original from 1985)...! Before starting a new game, I love reading about it, and did you know this?
Another choice made specifically to increase the coin drop: there was no end to the game. Gauntlet would recycle levels by flipping them horizontally and vertically once the players had run through all of them.
Thankfully, the new remake takes between 5-6 hours to defeat...!

Honestly, before a few weeks ago, I had no idea that Super Mario once had a baseball game called Sluggers. Never saw this on GameCube, and never had a Wii...! I kept thinking I had to try it. I remember playing Triple Play on N64 (Sammy Sosa was on the box art - most likely the last baseball game I played LOL)....and I do love the soccer, tennis and golf games in the Mario series.
I tried it for the first time yesterday, and...what the heck was that? No wonder they kept doing Tennis, Golf...but not baseball! I absolutely had ZERO fun and had to push myself to keep playing to give it an extra chance to impress me. After an hour, I just gave up.
Strangely, I ended up reading reviews from back in the days, and the reviews were quite good and the series had several die hard fans. Then, if it was that good, why wasn't there subsequent versions after the Wii one from 2008? Maybe the Wii version was even worst? You'd think that it's a game that could be played with joy con on the Switch like Mario Tennis...
Rumours say that that Nintendo is currently working on a new sports game involving Mario for the Switch. Strikers, Tennis and Golf are all out...can't be a sequel to those on the same console. Could it be a revival for the baseball series? If it is, I'll gladly skip it...it's not my cup of tea! But I do hope it is a good game for all the baseball fans out there :)

Goooooood morning folks! I promise, this song won't get out of your head for the entire weekend. Didn't think I'd have as much fun as I had with that one. I had seen Cuphead on Netflix, but never watched it. Now, I might just have to! This game is brilliant!
