Painting with Faye Part 1: Let me take you along on the journey of creating some art! My painting process is not something I have shared with you before but it is something I get asked about a lot. Painting holds a very special place in my heart and I am excited to let you experience that with me.
It is a new year and there is no better way to start it off than a new art project, in this series you will get to watch me create one of my paintings each step of the way. In this part I fine tune my colour pallet, mixing and swatching, until I am happy with the colours I will be working with. For me a good colour pallet sets the tone and expectations I have for a painting, since I never really go in with much of a plan. Watch as I use my air compressor to spread around the first layer of paint. This is my all time favourite way to move the paint around and cover a large amount of canvas in very little time.

I could not be happier writing this right now. I have had ongoing technical difficulties with my computer behind the scenes for many months now & I can finally say they have been resolved!
Previously I did everything on a laptop purchased in 2016, as mighty as it was it could never handle some of the ideas that I had when it came to content creation. Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects are some of my favorite programs to use, and let's just say my laptop did not agree.
This led me to source a more powerful computer. After some pretty awful customer experiences, a new motherboard & CPU, and countless hours spent on hold I have a fully functional new-to-me computer!
Words cannot express my joy when I opened Premiere Pro and was able to edit a video in real-time without it crashing. I guess this is just a long-winded way of saying, I cannot wait to finally begin sharing some of the more creative projects I've been sitting on for what feels like forever.
I am forever grateful and feel the spark and passion of creating reignited within.
