Hey Everyone! I wanted to give you all a quick update about my health. This past Friday night, during a performance, I sustained a mild hamstring strain. While the injury itself is not severe, the flow on effects of it are, as it's crucial for me to prioritise rest and recovery. After all, my body is not just a part of me; it's the essence of my work and art. Following my physio's advice, I won't be able to perform or conduct workshops for at least a few weeks. This means cancelling numerous engagements and travel plans, which translates to a loss of over $15k from refunds, lost income from cancelled performances, and some non-refundable travel, accommodation, equipment and studio hire. As I ease back into my routine post-recovery, my income is also likely to see a dip. Times like these remind us of the unpredictability of life, especially when our passion and livelihood are intertwined. If you're able to offer support in any form – whether by purchasing a signed print or polaroid, snagging a tee from my online store, or even just sharing my photos and videos – it would mean the world to me.
