fun fact #4: an update part two Another thing! I’M EATING BREAKFAST AGAIN :D which….feels…..weird. it feels so weird. I’m never hungry in the am but my body isn’t ovulating alongside other symptoms including thyroid gland failure and excess estrogen. All this means is my body is performing under stress and honestly has been since fasting became the move. The goal is to eat enough (and sadly gain weight) until your body knows you’re safe, one, but two, so your body has enough fuel to do it’s job! When your body knows it’s safe, it will function normally. When your body has enough fuel, it can produce t4 hormones. It can detox endotoxins and estrogen. It can grow your hair, repair your cells, and help you sleep better. Without enough fuel and the right amount of stress, you see major issues with your body as a whole! Long story short: I’m feeding my cells nutrient foods. I’m lowering stress by never allowing my body to break itself down for fuel. All of this is supposed to help my autoimmunity. Let's see how it goes!

fun fact number three involves my current approach to my health! Three? weeks ago, I talked about how I’ve been shifting from a carnivore diet, which helped on the surface, but really, was only used it to suppress symptoms. My current approach involves eating for my mitochondria! It’s called the “bio-energetic” method. Which means, I’m eating the most nutrient dense foods out there! This includes liver, oysters, egg yolks, red meat, honey, cheese, and supplementing minerals because we live in such a toxic environment that depletes us easily. Not everyone’s genes fuggin suck, but mine are super sensitive so I supplement extras when I have to. I used to be anti supplementation but here we are. Fun fact about dairy! You’re not allergic to it! You’re allergic to the SHIT we put in it. This “shit” has broken down our tummies over time, making you more and more lactose intolerant. Why would we all of a sudden not be able to handle a food that we have eaten for CENTURIES? It doesn’t make any sense. What makes sense is youR insides are messed tf up, and you need to heal. Did you know you only need one sip of milk at each meal to slowly build up your lactose enzymes? Your body can make them. You just gotta start slow. I’ve been slowly introducing high quality raw dairy into my diet. I find that when I dont have high quality, like in CO, my insides are so mad at me. And having been off of dairy for so long, my body is able to tell me loud and clear when something isn’t working with my body. High quality dairy means get it from a farm near you! NO GUMS. NO ADDED BULLSHIT. NOTHING. The ingredients should be pastured and/or raw dairy. Point blank. If you can’t get it form a farm, aim for milk at the store that has the least amount of ingredients possible. And dairy is needed for CALCIUM, which I touched on the importance of having enough on my first post!

The second fun fact involves what’s happening in America right now. During these tough times, it’s super important to consider personal and private joy. So much anxiety around things being take away from me are in place...but guess what they cant take away? They can't take away my joy. They didn’t give me said joy, therefore, they can't take it away from me. So make a list of things that can’t be taken away from you during this time. Here’s mine: Watching my best friend fall in love. That euphoric feeling after a hike in the mountains. Giggling uncontrollably for no reason other than you’re just happy. Wool socks in the morning. How honey and cottage cheese pair perfectly together. The sip of a perfectly aged bottle of Zin. Seeing my brother cuddle with Walter. Taking off my sweater to let my skin feel the warm sun on my skin. Drinking water straight from Mt Rainier. Turning off all my lights except for my salt lamps. The electric feeling house music brings me. A brand new wool sweater. The excitement that comes with driving into Chicago. Wilma kisses. Watching rain fall on acid. Lavender flowers next to my bed. A goodnight text from a loved one. Many more things sacred to only to me, things a bad leader could never understand much less take away from me. Remind yourself that this world is not a broken leader in power over a broken nation. This world is yours, it’s mine, its ours.

Fun fact number one! Let’s talk about vitamin d supplement..

Fun fact number one! Let’s talk about vitamin d supplementation because I was wrong about it for SO LONG! I got my friends and family on it and boom….research shifted. The danger with supplementing it is it’s so easy to take too much. Long story short, vitamin d supplementation depletes a whole slew of essential minerals, including magnesium. When vitamin D levels are too high, calcium is pulled into the blooooooodstream, and depletes retinal (the most bioavailable form of vitamin a) which is needed for copper utilization. This leads me into the importance of COPPER! Copper is what bings collagen to calcium crystals, creating bone, driving enzyme lsyl oxidase, and binding collagen and elites to create connective tissues. You NEED copper for proper bone formation. I’ll go into more detail below, but I really need to push the importance of getting your vitamin d levels under control. The best ways to get your vitamin d is from the sun or foods like seafood, eggs, and cod liver are great sources. - although im reallllly not a fan of cod liver oil because a, it taste GROSS and b, it can be highly oxidized meaning it’s super unstable in the presence of heat or light. And because our bodies *should* be 98.6 degrees, it will oxidize once it reaches your bloood. The same goes for fish oil. I no longer take fish oil because of this reason. I downloaded a really cool app called D-minder which uses your location and the time of year to calculate what hours of the day you can make vitamin D, and how long you need to stay outside minimum to hit your daily value. I’m going to try it out this afternoon! I’m really excited :) I will report back on sc! add me, my user is zescarn :) To those wanting a further look into the bone health ———— Okay. So. Magnesium is what stops the bone from being broken down. Besides opposing the breakdown of bone, magnesium is also the single most important nutrient for maintaining calcium balance. Magnesium is a cofactor for the three main hormones that regulate calcium, parathyroid hormone, vitamin D, and calcitonin. When we become magnesium deficient these enzymes don't function correctly. Breaking down bone also releases a huge amount of magnesium itself, triggering bone depletion. If you want to protect your bone health the easiest thing you can do is stop focussing on calcium intake, and start focussing on MAGNESIUM! Your magnesium/calcium intake ratio should be 1:1, even higher magnesium intake is even more protective, just stay below any laxative effect Lastly, you can use vitamin K2, which is essential for clearing calcium deposits in the arteries and soft tissue. K2 is found in organic grass-fed animal fat, like butter, dairy, and ghee, but it can be difficult to get enough from food so some people may need to supplement. I supplement using Thorne’s K5 drops. So far so good.
