Ever have those days where everything seems to go sideways for no particular reason? 🙋♀️ If you suspect you're having one of those days, I would suggest NOT taking the opportunity to put on long-lasting bright red lipstick in your car before needing to go to several places.
After the Target-saga portrayed in this video, I needed to go straight to my laser hair removal appointment. I was a few minutes early and there was someone in the waiting room, so I made a beeline for the bathroom.
The lipstick application was splotchy at best and I decided, "You know what? Admit defeat and use these paper towels + hand soap to wash off this nonsense."
Spoiler alert -
Everlast lipstick shit: 1
Hand soap and paper towels: 0
It was obvious that would take Jesus himself descending from on high and smiting my lips with a curse to get this stuff off. That or a makeup remover wipe.
I had neither.
But I was scrubbing frantically enough to ensure that enough of my lips came off that the remaining lips REALLY looked fucked up.
"Don't panic," I told myself. You have a different shade of this long-lasting lipstick in your purse. The heavens have smiled upon thee. Now hurry and apply that color over your lips to cover up the splotchy red."
I was optimistic that my master plan was going to work until the fresh coat of lipstick began to somehow smear the remaining bright red.
But only in the corners of my mouth.
So there i was, looking like the joker from fucking batman. Defeated.
I eventually gave up and laughed about it with my laser hair removal lady and then slinked home and used a makeup remover wipe.
So let this be a lesson to you -- never apply red lipstick in the car unless you're confident your day isn't trying to fuck you up. Mmkay? And also, you're a saint for reading this far. 💋
