Seriously. Everyone seems to have a beautiful singing voice. One neighbor was singing Elvis, and I thought he was playing an album, but he stepped onto his balcony, and it WAS LIKE A CONCERT IN VEGAS with impersonators.

I am still adjusting to the time differences, the heat fluctuations (and just the heat), the different cultural and electrical issues, and just basically getting my new life together.

STORYTIME- HOW I COULD HAVE BURNT DOWN THE ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD 🙃
Yesterday I woke up to no power and it turns out my electric meter decided to have a meltdown (literally). It EXPLODED and BURNED. Think fireworks, but less festive and more "potential neighborhood-wide disaster." 😅
Turns out, our electrical system was ancient and it decided to stage a dramatic exit. 🔥 after 16+ hours of no power in the blazing heat, the amazing electricians got me back up and running. silver lining? We're the first in our complex with a Euro/American electrical and grounding system!
If you want to contribute to the "I'm not an arsonist" fund (aka the electrician's bill), tips are greatly appreciated! 😉

I spent ALL DAY in Chicago getting an urgent new passport yesterday because the old one went missing and I leave for the Philippines next week.
I am EXHAUSTED.
