A client of mine emailed me this question, and I would love to hear your thoughts below? First, as a parent, you need to be comfortable in your skin. You need to be ready and confident with your body and sexuality. Are you prepared to learn to be your true authentic self? You will instill sex-positive, sexual health, and non-judgmental practices to yourself, your partner, and your kids if you're ready. Remember, each body part is precious and your own. Learn and love each part of your free loving vessel that belongs to you. Don’t always portray body parts as sexual. If we start talking about breasts to your baby as this is a way to be fed, be comforted, and connect. Teaching, speaking, and learning about your body and your babies will give you the voice to teach them about their own. Let's start communicating to your kids and loved ones how breast health and every part of your body is essential to love and be loved.An exercise I recommend is to get topless or start with a bra. Let's explain what a breast is and how movement is essential for your chest and other parts. Massaging helps move the lymph tissue, moving your body's energy and bl*od flow. Please use proper names when speaking to them, and this is a way to start hard conversations into regular daily talks. If you listen to them and teach your kids these small critical issues, they will feel comfortable and ready to ask you anything. That is love and acceptance.
