CHANGE IN SIZE, CHANGE IN LIFE – Part 1 [Short story with montages for and with GiantDan] Dan and Jim had been friends since they were kids, playing and exploring the world together. But one day, something strange happened to Jim. He shrunk down to just one inch tall, while Dan remained his normal size. At first, Dan was shocked and scared for his friend. But soon, his shock turned to callousness. He began to treat Jim like a toy, ignoring his cries for help and treating him as if he didn't matter. Jim was horrified. He couldn't believe that his friend, whom he had known for years, could be so cruel. But there was nothing he could do. He was too small to defend himself, and Dan was too big and powerful. Dan would often forget about Jim, leaving him to fend for himself in the vast world that had once been so familiar. Jim would spend hours wandering around, searching for food and shelter, all while dodging Dan's massive feet as they stomped around. But sometimes, Dan remembered that Jim existed. And when he did, he would play with him. Despite he just wanted to have some fun with his tiny friend, maybe without even fully realise, his games were mostly cruel for his little friend. It wasn’ t rare he ended dropping him from great heights, breaking him or crushing him underfoot. Jim was always terrified, never knowing what to expect from his days. And even though Jim was restorable, he still suffered. Every time he broke, he felt the pain as if he were a very normal human being. Each time those “accidents” happened, Jim's fear and terror only grew. As the days turned into weeks and the weeks turned into months, Jim's life became a living nightmare. He was doomed to live a hellish existence, constantly on the brink of death and suffering in ways that no one should ever have to endure. And as for Dan, he never seemed to care. He went about his day, completely unaware of the agony that he was inflicting on his tiny friend. It was as if he thought Jim ras truly just a bug or even a toy, with no feelings or emotions of his own, like he was simply to small for his feelings or needs to have any real importance...
