***True happiness vs deceptive happiness*** Happiness can be true happiness or deception, so we have to look into its substance and go beyond attachment. True happiness will be of benefit and nourish ourselves and others. Deceptive happiness brings temporary pleasure and helps us forget our suffering, but is not of lasting benefit and can be harmful (material wealth, status, attachment to our body, appearance, sex, drugs, alcohol are all popular forms of disguised objects that bring illusory happiness, chasing after what is perceived as desirable vs true joy) because remember, the smaller we feel inside, the more the must accumulate and seek from the external (eg, a partner, money, expensive cloths etc) to compensate for our inner smallness aka our ego, which feeds on the juices of negativity, victimhood and low levels of conciousness (eg, anger, fear, desire, pride, apathy)
