I just wanted to drop in and say thank you for being here and send out a welcome to all the new subscribers. For those of you new to NQBC, here is a little bit about who we are: The Naked Quarantine Bookclub is a naked literary project, which was created at the very beginning of the 2020 pandemic, within a week of the first shutdowns, as a sort of “philanthropic emergency response” to the shift in the sex industry. We (the global sex worker community) all woke up one day in early March and our brands and careers had seemingly evaporated overnight. Just...p o o f....gone! In fact, the job of “being intimate with strangers” was likely the very first non-essential jobs to be obliterated by Coronavirus. Waking up one day to having the rug pulled out from under you, is stressful enough but compounded by the stress of risking health/death and legal action not being allowed to leave our homes will either: 1.) send you spiraling 2.) send you into innovation mode! Here at NQBC, we chose the latter. I created this literary smut project alongside long time friend @missheloisegolde as a resource for other sex workers and all erotic content creators. A way to diversify brands online during such an abnormal “new normal” the world finds itself in. Offering intimacy and eroticism during a time when human touch is deeply missed. Our Naked Quarantine Bookclub was a novel and exciting concept back during the first wave and 9 months later it is still just as beautiful and clever! This page is a labor of love. We run it for free, volunteering our personal time to help promote others! Men and Women and Transfolk content creators from all over the world are invited to do readings for us!
