This is a pretty straight up stroke. A couple of things to consider to do it well:
If the cock you are working on isn’t hard, only go in one direction- up.
If the cock you are working on is hard, go in both directions- up and down.
Firm grip on the Hand-Over-Hand up.
Slightly looser grip on the Hand-Over-Hand down.
This is a great transition stroke to insert frequently between different strokes. It is a key stroke in making your sequencing of strokes seamless and smooth. ✌️
