These photos were taken around early March 2020 - My work had recently moved us all to work from home, and the world was still grappling with the idea that we all had to shelter in place for a little while until things calmed down. Almost 6 months later we are still pretty much in the same place (At least for anyone in the USA) and looking over these pictures made me introspective. I almost didn't want to post them because it made me a little uncomfortable - I was so convinced back then that everything would be over by summer, but here we are. I think everyone has been struggling creatively and otherwise to exist with the way things are, and I keep having to remind myself that feeling frustrated or upset over me not being as productive isn't my fault. Writing stories and doing photoshoots can be exhausting, and when I'm finding myself frustrated or upset with my lack of output, I have to constantly remind myself that I can't compare things to how they were a year or two ago. I need to breathe. Find the joy I have in making this content, and take my time to create something I want to make, not just because I have a "deadline" due by Friday. We are in an unprecedented situation, and we need to give more time to think, survive, and be happy in new ways. If you are reading this, I love you. You will make it through this, don't beat yourself up or hold yourself to goals before all of this happened. Find your happiness, connect with your friends, and listen to some good music or play some games. You are a gorgeous mixture of energy and stardust, and a means for the universe to experience itself. Stay safe and know that you will be stronger once we are through this 💖 (And maybe check back in on your AC village, have you been pulling weeds?!)
