I’ve used the same journal prompts for much of this year. 3 basic questions each morning. However much I’d like to write for each 1. ✨What am I grateful for?✨ - This one question helps me start my day remembering, there are always good things. Take those moments to think about when someone thanked you deeply and you felt it in your heart. When someone showed you kindness or care and it meant a lot to you. Even when I feel stressed or am moving through a harder time, this question helps me see clearly there are things in the present to feel joy and gratitude for. 2. ✨ What is here? ✨- This question more so means: - What emotions or feelings are here and present with me right now? -What am I holding? What needs to be seen? Allowing and validating what is really there, helps soften the depth of it all. It also helps us take note of it for the day ahead and how it may impact us today. Having this knowing, helps us better be able to take on the day in which is best for our current truth. • Without checking in, our emotions, feelings or what is going on internally can impact how we react or unfold in our day. • With awareness: we can create proper boundaries, feel better prepared and make more time for what is needed 3. ✨ What to focus on today? ✨ - This question helps take what we acknowledged in #2 and make a plan for our day. Maybe we need more alone time today as we are feeling burnt out? Maybe we need to focus on how we can use our voice today to help move through a situation we shut down in and are now feeling tense or resentful about? Maybe we need to focus on more support today as we have been isolating more and noticing how we are feeling sad? Our #2 check in and our #3 question of focus: helps us set ourselves up for a better day where we feel more in control and more aware. • Have you journaled before? • What prompts do you enjoy if any for your journaling?
