Added 2021-01-21 20:38:05 +0000 UTCHi guys! 💞 This is an important and maybe sensitive message. ⚠️ One of you asked me on a DM if I would consider sharing a part of my OF earnings with NGOs that help LGTB+ people around the world. I am not, by any means, a wealthy person myself, but at least this month I feel that I can give back. So, yeah, I think that person that wrote me that DM is right: I will do it, and I will continue to do so every month as long as my OF account keeps active enough for me to feel comfortable doing it. After reading all your messages/experiences (and also after chatting with several strangers about this on Instagram) I have realized that a being a LGTB+ person in a country like mine (Spain) is a huge, huge privilege. Growing up or living in a non-accepting country must be one of the hardest experiences I can imagine going through. That’s why I humbly think I will do this months’ donation to Rainbow Railroad. Rainbow Railroad is a canadian association that helps LGTB+ people to escape violence and persecution in their home countries. If you feel like you or someone you know are in a similar situation, please check our their website. I will do the donation this weekend, but I want to hear from you first: is there maybe another NGO that you know and think could be a good idea to donate to? Maybe in your country? I will consider all of them (or maybe for next month if this is still on). I hope this message doesn’t come off wrong or pretentious, I am honestly doing this because I think that it is the right thing to do. If you think it is not, please also let me know. I am learning.
