Added 2022-11-10 01:00:31 +0000 UTC***GAMING NIGHT - WHAT ARE WE GETTING INTO WITH CABAL!!!*** Here's the promo poster and if you flip the photos, you can see two different iterations from the cab (trackball and joystick) In this game, I will be controlling a commando, viewed from behind, trying to destroy various enemy military bases. The game is as old as I am now (it was launched in 1988!!!!). Apparently, it was innovative for the era, but only a mild success in the arcades, and became better known for its various home conversion. It was mainly on the Commodore and the NES. **Cool little known fact** When converting the game to the NES, Rare were given a Cabal cabinet but did not have access to the game's source code, so they had to play the game over and over and redraw the graphics from memory. I will be playing on a 48" screen and obviously play the Arcade version, so let's see how those graphics look compared to a CRT. It will never look as good as on those CRTs, but we can at least hope for some decent results. As for controls, it's 2 buttons...and a track ball...I shouldn't get confused too much with those! Move with the trackball, fire the gun with button 1, fire grenades with button 2. Gun ammo is unlimited, but grenades are in a limited quantity, but you can get more as you progress. I think this is it...! Oh and I'll obviously play in continuation mode so we can see as much as possible from the different levels :) Hope you're ready for some Cabal!!!! ***Have you ever played this game?***
