Next up, the workouts! Oki, so you got your diet in order! You decided to eat healthier. You can be eating more veggies and fruits, be a vegetarian, or vegan, or whatever the fuck as long as you're body is getting what it *needs*. Awesome! But now you want to lose weight faster or build muscle. Ok, hold on. Think about this for a sec. Yes, exercise is great, but it depends on what kind. Any form of exercise can help depending on your goal. See a pattern here? If you're in a pretty good spot diet-wise, and say you just want to be tone or something, a few weight-training exercises, maybe some yoga or something could help. If you want to see better results in terms of losing weight, cardio is probably the way to go. No, you don't have to be running. That's a bit bs. Sure, that can help, but even just walking around, taking a hike somewhere can have the same results. If you want to build muscle, weight-training is your best best, but you have to be careful with this one especially. If you dive right in, you might hurt yourself. So let's focus on weight training. What is the best way to do it? What workouts should you focus on? How do you know if you've worked out enough? Honestly, that depends on you individually. Every body is built differently. The workouts you want to do depends on what muscle groups you want to build. Let's say I want to work out my booty to make it bigger. #1 focus would be my diet, and then the workouts I do. Obviously, I'm going to do more leg exercises to build up my glutes. Should I do compound exercises or isolated exercises? Well, if I *only* want to get a bigger butt, isolated exercises work. If I want to build up my butt mainly, but might also want bigger hips and thighs, I can do compound exercises. But wait, what are compound exercises and isolated exercises? Simple: compound exercises work out various muscle groups, while isolated exercises try to target only 1. Which should I do: compound or isolated? It depends on your goals. Like I gave in the example, If I wanted to grow only my booty, isolated glute exercises work perfectly. But then that might look weird on my body lolz. So then I decide to work all of my legs, which makes compound exercises the better fit with maybe some isolated glutes exercises. If you want to do a full-body workout, compound exercises is your best bet. If you feel, and pay attention, if you feel like you didn't work out a certain muscle group enough and if you feel you have the energy to, then do isolated exercises for that muscle group you might have missed out on. DO NOT OVEREXERT YOURSELF!! If you do, you can hurt yourself or be too sore to do your next workout. This could mean a longer recovery time, which can mean a longer wait time before you see results. With that being said, TAKE A FUCKING BREAK!! Your body and muscles need time to build after an exercise. So how do you know if you worked out enough? Well, did the exercise make you feel good? If so, that's enough. You don't have to do more. Who the fuck are you trying to prove? Lmao! Even small, short exercises are enough. Get your ass up, do a 5-minute dance, and you're good! Don't feel tired or want to do more? Fuck, then keep going! But if you're body starts to hurt even a little bit, take a damn break please! Drink some water, chill for a few minutes, breathe! If you're doing weight-training and your body feels even a little bit like jell-o, just stop. Your body will not hate you for stopping and taking a break. In fact, it'll thank you for it because it's probably not used to all the movement and weight. Once it is, sure! Put a bit more weight, do 1 more set if you can, build that endurance and muscle. Just DO NOT OVEREXERT YOURSELF, and especially DO NOT HURT YOURSELF!! Oki, that's all I got for now lolz. Hope you guys have a good night! <3
