Honestly, describing my music taste is not super easy because I like a lot of kind of odd things.
I would estimate that about 40% of the songs I listen to are instrumentals.. Often just full on concert band/orchestra performances haha but I almost always fall asleep to classical piano. I like to get lost in this kind of music and (this is odd but) with band stuff I enjoy actively listening for things like time and key signature changes, subtle changes in tempo or volume, mistakes etc. When I do this it helps me to think about what really goes into making this music and it honestly makes me emotional .. A fav right now is Jupiter- The Bringer of Jollity composed by Gustav Holst. Also loving Freed and Seeing Red by Danny Elfman (IYKYK).
In terms of 'normal music', my time is split about 30-70 between your basic-bitch top-hits and my favourite style which is usually a mix of super soul-y modern R&B or acoustic type stuff. This is what I listen to during the day. I prefer very natural, gentle/sweet/feminine voices. I also really care about the words of the music and if anything is said that I really can't look past, I usually wont listen to a song. I do believe our words hold creative power. Artists who often end up in my playlist are Kiana Ledè, Ella Mai, H.E.R, Sabrina Carpenter, Madison Beer, Lewis Capaldi.. amongst others. Current favourites are: 'I don’t think I love you anymore' by Alaina Castillo, the Funk Wav remix of 'The Weekend' by SZA, Calvin Harris & ofc Funk Wav and 'like that' by Bea Miller!
(Feel free to continue asking anything you're curious about in the comments, I've got lots to get through ahha I'll just answer when I get to it!) Goodnight xoxo
